MO- and MT- billing are the two methods how carriers charge users. With MO-billing (Mobile Originating Billing), operators charge for the sent message. In this case, users are billed at the moment when they sent out SMS. With MT-billing (Mobile Terminating Billing), operators charge for the reply-message sent back to the user. In this case, users are billed only when they receive the reply-message (also known as reverse billing).

The table above shows your revenue after the operator's share, Fortumo commission and the costs of sending the users a reply SMSMobile operator takes a revenue share on each transaction for handling billing, collecting money and covering credit risk. The operators then pay the remaining money (usually between 40% and 60% depending on end-user price) to Fortumo. Fortumo pays you the money received from operators minus a small commission (which can be only 2-3% of end-user price, depending on country, type of service and volume). The table above shows your revenue after the operator's share and Fortumo commission.

Payout cycle in Hungary is 1 monthFortumo pays you money immediately after we have received it from the mobile operators. Operators in different countries pay at different speeds. Payout cycle of 1 month means that the revenue earned by your services in January will be transferred to you in the first half of March.
After the initial waiting period, you would get a payout each month, as your February money arrives in April, March money in May, etc.

Hungary: Rules and Restrictions
- The service must be in compliance with Fortumo Terms of Service, Hungarian legal acts and good morals.
- The end user price must be clearly stated in the advertisements and instructions of use.
- Service offered or any part of it must not violate any third party’s copyright or other rights.
- Service has to fully comply with advertising laws and regulations.
- In advertisements, the price including VAT, customer support phone number and service provider's name (Fortumo) must be displayed.
- Adult content (incl. erotics) is allowed only on special shortcodes (after answering "yes" to the question about erotics during service creation).
- Quiz games (knowledge based games) are allowed with certain restrictions: questions cannot be too easy and only one answer from one user can be accepted (if there is a multiple choice).
- Multiple billing is not allowed.
- Gambling and lottery related services are strictly forbidden.
